Deposit Compliance Specialist- (location flexible)

The Deposit Compliance Specialist is responsible for operational support duties of the Compliance Department; assists the Director of Risk Management and Bank Secrecy Act Officer as directed.  This position assists in originating, implementing, and maintaining the Bank's compliance programs to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.  Helps in the coordination and support of compliance audits and examinations.  Provides clerical assistance in training personnel on the Bank’s compliance policies and procedures.  Performs a variety of routine daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence; and participates in special department projects.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Requirements to include Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical trade school or 3 years related experience and/or training.  Work related experience should consist of a background in Bank compliance support.  Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry.

 


Lead Customer Advocate

The Lead Customer Advocate position is responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day customer service duties and advanced branch duties.  These duties include: accepting checking and savings deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments, cashing checks, money order sales, cashier check sales, night depository duties, vault duties, maintain strict compliance controls at all times.  This position is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of branch operations.  This position is required to provide leadership, training, and support for the Customer Advocate staff.  This position promotes business for Bear State Bank by maintaining excellent customer service and cross-selling Bear State Banks’ products and referring customers to the appropriate team member for new services.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Market President- Joplin, MO

#JOP- 07102017 (Full Time, Exempt)

This position is responsible for managing our Joplin, Missouri branch and leading the team to ensure customer experience excellence and maximize financial results. This position will also have significant influence with partner business leads (e.g., Treasury Management, Mortgage, Wealth, Segment/Product/ Marketing, Community) to define and direct partner interaction and allocate resources to achieve Lending and Retail performance goals.  The Market President will sponsor and assemble effective teams and partnerships (consisting of direct and indirect reports), establish priorities, and provide high-level perspective to ensure that directives support Lending and Retail banking strategies.  The Market President will be accountable for competitively differentiating the Bank by delivering the desired customer experience and maintaining deep involvement in the community.  This position will maintain accountability for business results within the assigned market/region.  This role will evaluate performance using appropriate metrics, and will implement improvements in response to evaluation results.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

This position will be located at Little Rock Highland in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Minimum Requirements to include Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); an associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field from a college or technical school is preferred; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  A minimum of one (1) year of proven successful experience in a Loan Department of a financial institution or related field is required.  Must have advanced experience, knowledge, and training in all state and federal banking laws and regulations.

This position is responsible for originating secondary market mortgage loans.  Examine, evaluate and authorize or recommend approval of customer applications. Cross sell other services of the bank. May supervise one employee in the bank. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank’s policies and applicable laws. Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum Requirements to include Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training and one-year management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with and working knowledge of Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and Access.  Must be at ease working from Excel databases and Word databases simultaneously.  Should be able to use a computer keyboard efficiently and type at a minimum of 35 WPM. Insurance license for credit life or mortgage life.  Must hold a valid driver’s license.
